Why Teachers Should Be Paid More

 

              Why do you think that teachers should be paid more? Well it can be argued that teachers need to be paid more. First of all teachers need to live on one job. Also teachers do more than teach academics and education.  I believe that teachers should be paid more because without them we would know nothing and wouldn’t achieve anything.

Teachers need to live on one job. 16% percent of teachers have a second job. Most of the 16% percent have to have a second job because they don't get enough money from teaching. If teachers have a second job then they will have more stress, and they will not be able to spend time with their family.  Also they will not be able to do anything fun.

Teachers do more than teach academics. Teachers do more than teach students they teach them how to be good adults. They also teach them to persevere when things do not go right. They also teach them what is right and what is wrong.

Education should be valued. By underpaying teachers we as a country are not placing education as a high priority. If we do not have good teachers to teach people than we would know nothing. Our teachers should be valued, and so should our education system.

Some teachers are not doing their job well. It is proved by test scores.Also the national test scores have been going down. So,people think that teachers should not be paid more.
